When School's Out - Join us!
When School's Out it's time to head to The Laughing Academy for fun and laughs! Bring a lunch and spend your day doing team-building activities, improv, arts & crafts, movement, and more!
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the following 2023/24 School's Out days: January 15, February 19, February 24 (2024).
In this class we will continue to build off our short form skills to learn how to create fully improvised scenes. We will accomplish this with a series of fun games and exercises that will make scene work as easy as having a conversation. The final class will be a show at The Laughing Academy that will include a combination of short form games and long form scenes. In this 4 week class we will work on:
Wednesdays

It's your turn to take the mic and feel the rush of sharing your own material before a live audience.
You'll learn to develop, edit, and deliver your very own material and we'll supply you with a live audience to do so in a show on Friday September 22nd!!
And because you deserve the best - your teachers are the incredible Tyler Fowler and Vik Pandya both hard working comics who know all angles of the industry and who travel the country making 'em laugh!

Professional storyteller, actor, and writer Monica Matsakis leads this session focused on the art and craft of personal storytelling. The class is designed for experienced storytellers. We workshop and focusw on the foundation of personal narrative storytelling and returners will be challenged to incorporate techniques to make their material stronger. Please consider attendance as the class moves quickly and new concepts are introduced each week. The class is comprised of 4 two hour sessions, and also a performance with coaching by your instructor. Beginning with the basics of strong story structure, how to write essays for performance, and balancing vulnerability and comedy, students will explore, develop, write and practice performing compelling and engaging original stories from their own lives with a
